No, you can start using these enhancements as of 1 January 2025. Existing waiting periods still apply. If you have not yet served the waiting periods for the services listed, you will need to wait until those periods are over before you can access the benefits.

No, these benefits will automatically be available to you.

The claims process remains the same. You can claim for services using the HICAPS machine at the providers office. Alternatively, you can claim using our user-friendly app or online account.

We assess our benefits annually to ensure they remain competitive and relevant to our member’s needs. By staying up to date with industry trends, cost of living pressures and listening to your feedback, we can identify opportunities to enhance your cover and make necessary adjustments.

As of 1 January 2025, your annual limit will increase to $600, and your lifetime limit will change to $1800.

If you have already claimed $350 in the first year, your annual limit will be $600 for the second and third years and your lifetime limit will increase from $1050 to $1800. This means if your treatment extends beyond three years, you can continue to claim until you reach the new lifetime limit of $1800.

The optical limit has increased from $130 to $150 per person per year.

The following benefits have increased:

• Chiropractic: $36 per consultation
• Osteopathy: $36 per consultation
• Massage: $36 per session
• Myotherapy: $36 per session
• Acupuncture: $36 per session
• Nutrition/Dietetics: $36 per consultation

The psychology benefit has increased from $60 to $90 per consultation.

• First annual scale and clean: $120 per person
• First annual preventative oral examination: $60 per person
• First 2 fluoride treatments each year: $36 per person (limit of 2 per year per person)
• Orthodontics:

  • Lifetime limit: $1800 per lifetime

We strive to keep premiums as low as possible while ensuring you receive valuable benefits. The upcoming changes to Core Complete are aimed at enhancing access and affordability of preventative dental care. As a result, we expect more members to use these services, which requires a small increase in premiums in 2025.

It’s important to note that the premium increase will vary based on your type of cover (single, family) and your individual rebate and loading. While improvements to the Basic Extras and Healthy Start optical limits will not affect premiums, members with Premier Singles and Couples cover will experience a premium increase. The increase will be communicated to our members in February 2025.
