Board of Directors

Ormond Pearson

Board Chair, BHSC (MGT), FAICD, FIML, FIPA

Ormond has three decades of experience working in the health sector, as a CEO of public hospitals and in community health. He has been a Latrobe director since 2013 and is the current chair (since 2014). He is also a director of Maryvale Private Hospital, which is owned and operated by Latrobe.

Kelly Humphreys

MMGT, GAICD, FAIM, DIP FIN SER

Kelly has extensive senior executive experience in the financial sector, including General Manager roles with the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, Liberty Financial, and Aon. A director since 2017, she is also a member of the College Council and Academic Board, ISN Psychology Pty Ltd, a commissioner of the Victorian Building Authority, and a director of the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service.

Kelly Johnston

BCOM, CPA, GAICD

Kelly has 20 years of experience in finance roles across public and private sector industries. Her experience includes Deputy CFO at AHPRA and Senior Finance roles at Australia Post, ANZ, and private organisations. She has been a director at Latrobe since 2021 and previously a Director and Chair of the Finance Committee at the Queen Victoria Women's Center.

Simon Grant

BCom, LLB, GAICD, FGIA, FCIS

Simon has over 30 years experience in senior governance, strategy, legal and commercial roles and over 25 years experience in financial services.  Simon’s prior roles include Strategic Adviser to the Board, General Manager - Group Strategy and General Counsel at ISPT Pty Ltd, CEO - Australia & America at MacarthurCook Ltd, Managing Director at SAIPrivate and Group General Manager at Australian Unity.  Simon is a former non-executive director of the St Kilda Football Club. In addition to the Bachelors of Commerce and Laws, Simon has also completed the Oxford University Strategic Leadership Program and (recently) the Oxford University Artificial Intelligence Program. 

Dr Jacqueline Jennings

PhD, MMgt, BMet, GAICD

Since 2009 Jacqui, has worked as a non-executive director on both government and non-government boards in the health, education, finance and tourism sectors. Jacqui’s focus is on trust, transparency, accountability and risk, both operational and financial.  Through her senior executive experience Jacqui brings commercial, strategic and sustainability vision to her governance roles. Jacqui started her career as a materials engineer with BHP, where she worked for 23 years in technical, production, sales and marketing and VP roles, both nationally and internationally. She is a non-executive director with Futurity Investment Group, where she also chairs the Investment Committee, the Darwin Waterfront Corporation; Campaspe Port Enterprise; and Injalak Aboriginal Arts and Crafts Corporation.

Ian Whitehead, Chief Executive Officer

BBUS (MARKETING/ECONOMICS), POST GRAD, MASTERS, GAICD

Ian is an experienced director and chief executive officer with expertise in business strategy, change management, finance and marketing. He has worked in financial services, health and life insurance, property, retail and technology sectors in executive and non-executive Director roles. Ian is a director of Maryvale Private Hospital and was a Director and Chair of the Australian Regional Health Group (resigned in April 2023).

Ian was also appointed to the position of Councillor, Victorian Division for AICD in April 2023.

He joined Latrobe in November 2018 as the CEO.

Kylie Debono, Chief Operating Officer

BSCI (BIOLOGICAL) HONS (MICROBIOLOGY)

Kylie is an experienced executive manager with expertise in leading, influencing, and driving strategic planning activities, designing and monitoring governance, risk, organisational development, and OH&S management frameworks. Kylie was appointed to the role of Chief Risk Officer in 2015 and Chief Operating Officer in 2023.

Andrea Buckland, Company Secretary

BBUS (INFORMATION SYSTEMS), MACC, CPA, FGIA, MAICD

Andrea is experienced in financial management, reporting, analysis and planning, process change, and management of critical business transitions. Andrea has applied her expertise in industries including technology, manufacturing, and professional services. Andrea was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and Company Secretary in 2014.

Hannah Vincent, Chief Financial Officer

BBUS (ACCOUNTING/BANKING & FINANCE), CPA

Hannah is an experienced leader with expertise in financial management, strategic planning, data analytics, and reporting. Hannah has developed her expertise working across both public and private sector. Hannah was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2021.

Kate Jarvis, Head of Marketing and Business Development

BA (MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS), ATCL, DIP GRAPHIC DESIGN

Kate is an experienced communications and marketing professional who has built brands and customer engagement across health, media, retail, technology, and construction industries. Kate joined Latrobe in April 2019.

Kamran Channa, Chief Information Officer

MASTERS (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY), BSC (COMPUTER SCIENCES)

Kam is an experienced technologist with experience in business and technology leadership, technology development, strategic and operational team development, business applications and information systems implementation, vendor liaison, contract negotiation, and relationship management. Kam was appointed to the role of Chief Information Officer in March 2019.

Seona Conway, Head of People and Culture

BECONOMICS & COMMERCE, GRAD DIP SECONDARY EDUCATION, GRAD DIP HUMAN RESOURCES

Seona has more than 25 years in leadership development, organisational culture, change, and human resources and has worked both as a consultant and as an executive leader. Seona partners with leaders at all levels and is focused on supporting individual and organisational development, growth, and transformation.

Simon Tulloch, Chief Risk Officer

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE

Simon has over 10 years’ experience working with organisations across the private and public sectors in a consulting capacity to help develop, refine and evolve their approach to risk management and assurance. Simon was appointed to the role of Chief Risk Officer in March 2024.
